After a decade with the Idaho Press, as a reporter and editor, Managing Editor Holly Beech is departing the newspaper for a new role with the Idaho Office for Refugees. The Boise-based Idaho Office for Refugees provides resources and programs to those new Idahoans who were forced to leave their former homes. more

Veteran newsroom leader and Auburn University alumna Paige Windsor has been named executive editor of the Montgomery Advertiser, as well as the Alabama state editor for parent company Gannett, a job that includes oversight of the Gadsden Times and the Tuscaloosa News. more

The Altoona (Pennsylvania) Mirror leadership torch has been passed. Ed Kruger, who has held the publisher position since 1998, is retiring and wrapping up a 60-year newspaper career.
