Digital campaign for a custom home store

CHALLENGE:  Yetzers Home Store builds custom furniture based on a customer's specifications, with limited inventory to promote.  They were looking for a digital lead/sales promotion that included social media. Mike Specht, senior account executive, Adams Publishing Group — Waconia Patriot, teamed up with Wehaa and created an innovative method of promoting the company’s custom furniture and other custom-built categories.  Unlike a standard furniture store that has inventory in stock to promote, the campaign promoted six different categories. Yetzers also sells custom window treatments, flooring, sleep store (Mattress & Bedding), area rugs and home decor.
  2. GOAL: Yetzer measures a successful digital campaign by the amount of foot traffic that walks into their storefront and how many form fills they receive. The goal was to run a three-week campaign starting July 1, compare the foot traffic and form fills for the month versus the monthly average and gauge the lift.
  3. SOLUTION:  Wehaa found a creative way to implement a Virtual Sales Event that included dynamic digital display ads, social media and email. Rather than promoting real time inventory, Wehaa promoted Yetzers' six categories. The goal was to send customer clicks directly to the main category pages on Yetzers’ website. The dynamic creative matched the look and feel of the Yetzers brand and as always Wehaa’s professional design took it one step further by adding a beautiful accent color and stylish design with smooth animated transitions.

If a user clicked on the image, they were redirected to the main category page on Yetzers’ website. UTM tracking was provided on all clicks.

Dynamic Display:  Wehaa created a full set of display banners including a dynamic reveal ad. APG-ECM provided the distribution of the ads and chose to run the reveal ad, 300x600 and 300x250, 300x600, 728x90, 970x250. The dynamic reveal ad accounted for 75% of the clicks.

HTML Email:  The HTML email design included a custom header and footer designed by Wehaa that mirrored the company’s marketing message. The header included link outs to schedule a free estimate, services, locations. Within the body of the email were six product categories with a "view more" call to action.

SOCIAL MEDIA:  Wehaa created dynamic carousel ads for Facebook and Instagram. The ads rotated the product categories and clicks went directly to the main category page on Yetzers' website. Wehaa purchased geo & behavioral targeted traffic and managed the social media buy.

  1. RESULTS:  The advertiser report below was shared during a performance review meeting with Mike Specht, the client, and Kevin Collins from Wehaa. The campaign was a big success and, as a result, Yetzers has signed up for five more digital campaigns.

  1. SECOND CAMPAIGN:  The follow up was a grand opening campaign for a new store: Forest Lake Store Opening. This campaign followed the same model and promoted the custom product categories. Media included dynamic display, social media and HTML email.

  2. THIRD CAMPAIGN:  The next campaign was different from the previous two. Facebook was the only channel and Wehaa created a co-op compliant social media campaign. The campaign promoted only one line of furniture, Hunter Douglas.

    The facebook campaign delivered 333 clicks to Yetzers’ main page for Hunter Douglas and was one of the most successful product campaigns the client has ever run.
