In early November of 2022, the Hobbs (New Mexico) News-Sun began use of Presteligence’s My News On-The-Go E-Edition platform. In addition to its ability to reproduce a fully digital replica of the print editions, the News-Sun also took advantage of its Real Time Authentication allowing subscribers to log in based upon the database in the circulation system.
With a server crash and support expiring on its old CMS system, the News-Sun found itself with an opportunity to leverage the E-Edition even further. As a part of the My News 360 suite of applications, the News-Sun saw that it could replace its locally hosted CMS and is now in the process of doing so with My News 360’s hosted CMS.
The content management system is the epicenter of the My News 360 Platform. It will allow the News-Sun’s staff to access the system from anywhere they are for the automatic management of files, stories and assets to be moved to the next stage of the workflow for multi-channel output for print and digital publishing.
The News-Sun staff will now have powerful tools at their fingertips. By utilizing the hosted CMS in tandem with the E-Edition, the News-Sun will ensure its publication not only reaches both digital and print readers, but will enable the staff to work more easily and efficiently than ever before. Presteligence looks forward to providing the News-Sun with the tools it needs to continue as Lea County’s leading source for news and shopping choices.
