Hearst Connecticut Media Group has finalized its acquisition of RJ Media Group in Meriden.
The deal, reached Dec. 29, adds the Record-Journal, The Cheshire Herald and its group of publications to HCMG’s network of local news websites, newspapers and magazines.
In a note to readers announcing the sale, Mike DeLuca, HCMG’s group publisher and president, said: “Today marks the beginning of a journey where tradition meets innovation, and we embark on a shared commitment to delivering exceptional journalism and community engagement.”
