Jim Urbanski, who served as president of the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association from 1989-90, died last month at the age of 93.
He worked for the Tampa (Florida) Tribune for many years, beginning in 1960 when he was named retail ad manager, and rose to general manager and then president before retiring 31 years later.
