Rep. Randy K. Weber Sr. has joined as a co-sponsor of a bill intended to provide support to community newspapers and small businesses.
The Community News and Small Business Support Act has 41 co-sponsors, 20 Republicans and 21 Democrats, according to America’s Newspapers, the newspaper industry’s leading national association.
“Our local journalists and news organizations are valued contributors to communities in Southeast Texas,” Weber said.
“We must continue investing and ensuring our papers thrive in the current media landscape to deliver relevant news to our community.”
