Safety protocols announced for the America's Newspapers Conference

Posted

We are looking forward to seeing everyone in Colorado soon!  We have a great program planned and we'll be sharing more in the near future.

Your safety is our top priority.  We want our attendees to enjoy time engaging with other attendees in a safe environment and are carefully monitoring the developments regarding COVID-19 and following CDC and local guidelines.  Additionally, The Broadmoor has established protocols to ensure the safety of its guests, and the America’s Newspapers staff is implementing the best practices from leading associations to also ensure the safety of attendees.

Safety protocols for the meeting include:

  • You will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival.
  • We are recommending masks in all conference settings for attendees, staff and guests.  Masks and hand sanitizers will be available throughout the conference.
  • We will provide a wristband system that allows each attendee to specify the level of social distancing they prefer.
  • Conference seating will be socially distanced.
  • Food and beverages will be individually served and there will be no buffets or self-serve drinks available.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and adjust our plans to meet the safety needs at the time of the conference.  And, all individual health information will be kept confidential.

We are confident this meeting will be a productive, beneficial and safe event.  However,  we are extending our refund deadline until Friday, Sept. 3, to accommodate anyone uncomfortable with attending or with the protocols put in place.  That is the last day we can make adjustments to our room block without penalty.
