Patrick O’Shea has been named editor of The Beaver County Times and The Ellwood City Ledger in Pennsylvania.
O'Shea succeeds former Executive Editor Lisa Micco, who left The Times in January. He had been serving as the interim executive editor following Micco's departure.
O'Shea will work closely with Gannett Western Pennsylvania Region Executive Editor Matt Martin, who is also the executive editor of the Erie Times-News.
Martin will oversee more collaborative news coverage between Gannett's properties in western Pennsylvania, which include the Beaver County Times, Ellwood City Ledger, Erie Times-News and Somerset Daily American. The alignment builds upon the partnership between all of the Gannett properties in Pennsylvania that has seen the formulation of a statewide Capitol bureau and a statewide COVID-19 coverage team.
