Lineup’s Adpoint reduces Gannett invoicing time by 90%

Posted

Lineup, a world-wide leader in media sales technology, has dramatically decreased the invoice processing time for Gannett, the largest newspaper and digital publishing company in the U.S.

Working with Adpoint, Lineup’s omnichannel advertising solution for media companies, Gannett has slashed invoicing time by 90 percent.  With Gannett’s explosive growth due to the merger with GateHouse along with other subsidiaries and brands, they are now producing some of the largest volume of monthly media invoices and statements.

Prior to engaging with Lineup, the invoicing time was slow and could take a week or more to process.  As Lineup worked with Gannett, the weeks were reduced to under 24 hours in December of 2021.  And in January of this year, this number has reduced to about 100 minutes, a 90% decrease.

“It’s really remarkable that only recently we were processing invoices over eight hours or more into the evening,” said Melody Stremkowski, Advertising Services for Gannett. “It’s very reassuring to us that we are able to complete all invoicing in the early hours of the first business day before our users begin to use the system.”

The Lineup team has been working hand in hand with Gannett since the merger of the Gannett and GateHouse companies to prepare for the extraordinary volume of transactions.

“We’ve seen exceptional improvement in billing time for all Gannett and GateHouse sites, which delivers an exceptional business advantage to get invoices out of the door in less time than ever and collect money faster,” said Kumar Sharma, lead deployment consultant for Lineup.  “Our team has been working hard to continually finesse the invoicing steps and improve performance.”
