World News Day is September 28!

Posted

World News Day is an annual day to celebrate professional journalism. This year, World News Day is Sept. 28. The 2021 theme is climate change.

Now more than ever, learning about how the Earth is changing requires accurate information, news from trusted sources. We at Kid Scoop know even young children can learn about climate change while they build their news literacy skills and knowledge of science. The lively and educationally sound Kid Scoop activities propel children into many parts of the newspaper — reading news written by professional journalists on your newspaper staff.

This special Kid Scoop page — “Going Green” — is designed to share with children and families in your newspaper circulation area. The content has been reviewed by Dr. Kimberly Nicholas, director of PhD Studies, Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies; author of "Under the Sky We Make" from Penguin Random House.

Here’s your free Kid Scoop page to publish if you participate in World News Day!
