In a new four-part series coming this Thursday from NPR, Embedded listeners will get to know the surviving staff of The Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland. A gunman murdered five people there in June 2018. NPR Producer Chris Benderev spent more than two years following them through trauma and triumphs.
In this special report, NPR says: "We hear them adapt to their new lives as part of a uniquely American club no one wants to join. We hear them cover the legal proceedings of the man who killed their colleagues.
