Arizona paper welcomes new editor

Posted

Mike Boyd has been named editor-in-chief of the Mohave Valley Daily News in Bullhead City, Arizona.

For the past seven years, he has worked as a contract editor at MSN, but his roots are in newspapers.

Bill McMillen, his predecessor, is staying with the paper and will work with Boyd both during the transition and into the future.

Larry Kendrick, general manager, said:  "Mike comes to us with a great deal of experience in newsprint and digital news. His fresh ideas, along with getting the most out of increasingly smaller newsrooms, will be beneficial to the success of our local newspapers. Mike will bring energy and professionalism to our business and community as a whole. I expect great things to come from this addition to our team."
