Claudia Perez Rivas is the new editor of the Post Independent (Glenwood Springs, Colorado) and Citizen Telegram, arriving in Colorado from years of newsroom roles in Texas.
She most recently worked at the Hood County News/Gatesville Messenger/Tri County Reporter in Granbury, Texas. She’s also worked for news organizations in New Braunfels, Kingsville, Sinton, Laredo, Houston and more. She’ll be leading the newsroom in our coverage of Garfield County and her experience and passion for mentoring will really help our journalists continue to grow and do their best work.
