Beverly Joyce has been named publisher of the Tribune-Star in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Joyce will continue as publisher of The Herald-Bulletin in Anderson. Both newspapers are owned by CNHI, an Alabama-based company with newspapers in 22 states.

In addition to her roles as publisher in Terre Haute and Anderson, Joyce also is regional executive over nine CNHI newspapers in Oklahoma.

Robyn McCloskey was publisher in Terre Haute before her recent promotion to executive vice president of operations with CNHI. McCloskey continues as the publisher of the Kokomo Tribune and the Pharos-Tribune in Logansport.

"I am looking forward to working with this team and getting to know the community," Joyce said. "I've lived in Indiana all my life and do have some familiarity with this area, but I'm looking forward to better getting to know the readers and the business community here."

Said McCloskey, "I've enjoyed my time in Terre Haute and believe Bev will be a great fit, not only for this team but for the community, and she'll bring a fresh perspective."

Joyce had her first stint as publisher of The Herald Bulletin from 2015 through 2021. She began her second stint in 2023.

“Our company is fortunate to have strong, outstanding executives in the Hoosier state,” said Donna Barrett, president and CEO of CNHI.

Joyce is also a past publisher of the Hendricks County Flyer, the Lebanon Reporter and the Zionsville Times Sentinel, as well as the Commercial News in Danville, Illinois. She also was advertising director at the Kokomo Tribune and the Pharos-Tribune in Logansport.

Joyce began her career in newspapers in 1983 as an advertising sales representative at the newspaper in Batesville, her hometown.
