In two weeks, on Sept. 28, newsrooms across the world will mark World News Day, a global campaign to highlight the role and value of journalism — this year in telling the climate change story.

Co-hosted by actor Victor Garber and journalist Farah Nasser, “World News Day: The Climate Crisis” will showcase journalism from around the world, highlighting regional climate issues, activism and solutions. It will feature videos from The Guardian, The Straits Times, The New Yorker, BBC, Deutsche Welle, South China Morning Post, Al Jazeera English, CBC News, Global News, Reuters, Thomson Reuters Foundation, Univision and The Sacramento Bee. It will also include remarks from The Guardian’s Katharine Viner, Reuters’ Alessandra Galloni, The Washington Post’s Trish Wilson, The Globe and Mail’s David Walmsley, and The Straits Times’ Warren Fernandez.
