The Spokesman-Review is pleased to announce the promotion of Tyler Pisani to senior director of Audience & Consumer Revenue, Jo Ogle to senior director of Advertising and Client Services, and Garret Sampson to director of AI Infrastructure and Technology.
In a newly elevated audience role, Pisani will continue to lead all aspects of audience engagement, subscription growth and consumer revenue strategy across both digital and print platforms.
Pisani currently serves as director of Audience and Consumer Marketing, where he has overseen digital audience development, print circulation strategy and innovative revenue initiatives. He leads a high-performing team focused on collaboration, innovation and operational efficiency — work that has helped position The Spokesman-Review as one of the most respected and forward-thinking independent newspapers in the nation.
“Tyler’s strategic mindset, creative execution and passion for local journalism have been instrumental in our growth,” said Aaron Kotarek, general manager and chief operating officer of The Spokesman-Review. “This promotion reflects his outstanding contributions and our commitment to deepening reader relationships while driving long-term sustainability.”
Pisani was recently recognized as one of Editor & Publisher magazine’s “Top 25 Media Executives Under 35.”
In a newly created advertising and marketing role, and with Jo Ogle’s more than 26 years of dedicated service, Ogle brings a wealth of experience and a history of operational excellence to this senior leadership role. Her deep expertise spans advertising management, project execution, digital media and strategic planning. Known for her exceptional skills in budgeting, contract negotiation, and client relations, she has played a pivotal role in advancing both local and national advertising initiatives. She is also highly proficient in ad operations platforms and consistently drives results through data-informed strategy and team collaboration. Over the years, she advanced to roles including inside sales executive, national account executive, and her most recent role as advertising operations manager.
Ogle's promotion to senior director of Advertising & Client Services reflects her unwavering commitment to innovation, customer service and sustainable revenue growth — qualities that continue to elevate The Spokesman-Review's position as a trusted leader in the media industry.
“Jo Ogle is a cornerstone of our advertising operation,” said Kotarek. “Her operational command, digital fluency and client-first mindset have made her an indispensable leader in our organization. This promotion is a testament to her hard work, strategic vision and unmatched dedication to both our team(s) and our clients.”
The Spokesman-Review is also pleased to announce the promotion of Garret Sampson to director of AI Infrastructure & Technology, a newly elevated role that underscores the organization’s strategic focus on enterprise-wide innovation, automation, and efficiency.

In his expanded leadership role, Sampson will oversee the planning, deployment and governance of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions across departments. His direction includes enhancing operational effectiveness, automating repetitive processes, driving smart data utilization and ensuring the organization is positioned for long-term technological scalability.
“Garret’s ability to translate complex technology into practical business solutions has made him an invaluable asset,” said Kotarek. “As we evolve into a more intelligent and efficient enterprise, his vision and leadership will help us accelerate transformation while maintaining operational excellence.”
