The Spokesman-Review has promoted Kolby Jensen to director of circulation, recognizing his long-standing leadership and impact on the organization’s transportation, distribution and home delivery operations.  Jensen has been with The Spokesman-Review since 2017 and brings more than 40 years of experience in the publishing industry. He was recently named an Operations All-Star by Editor & Publisher and the International Newspaper Group in 2025.

During his tenure to date, Jensen led the launch of a centralized distribution center that streamlined carrier pickups and reduced staging time through close coordination with the newspaper’s printer, delivering measurable cost savings and efficiency gains. Over the past three years, he has successfully guided the organization through three major logistics transitions, each resulting in improved operations and reduced expenses. As an example of his outside-the-box thinking Jensen introduced the “Single Copy Dealer of the Month” program, highlighting top retail partners in print to boost product presence and drive sales.

“Kolby doesn’t just manage operations, he improves them,” said Tyler Pisani, senior director of audience and consumer revenue. “His leadership, creativity and dedication make him an invaluable part of The Spokesman-Review’s long-term future.”

Ryan Jerman

In a newly created role, Ryan Jerman will serve as a key connective force between the Advertising and Audience teams, helping advance the organization’s digital communication, engagement and monetization efforts across platforms including SMS, mobile push alerts, newsletters, the mobile app and emerging AI-driven creative tools. Known for his collaborative approach and strong product mindset, Jerman will focus on improving digital experiences for both subscribers and advertisers while supporting revenue growth, operational efficiency and brand consistency.

“Ryan has a rare ability to balance creativity, technical understanding and genuine empathy for both our teams and our customers,” said Jo Ogle, senior director of Advertising & Client Services. “He consistently brings people together, asks the right questions and turns complex ideas into practical solutions. This role is a natural next step for Ryan, and we are excited to see the impact he will continue to make across our digital products.”

“Ryan’s promotion reflects his ability to translate cross-departmental needs into actionable digital solutions, manage complex projects with clarity and care, and champion innovation that supports The Spokesman-Review’s evolving digital strategy. His leadership will play a vital role as our organization continues to invest in audience growth and advertiser success(es), while modernized digital products to accelerate our digital transformation efforts,” said Aaron Kotarek, general nanager and chief operating officer of The Spokesman-Review.
