Steve Jameson has accepted the position of Illinois Press Association president and CEO, replacing Don Craven who resigned in October. He will start the position on Jan. 5.
For more than 20 years, he has served in a number of leadership roles in the newspaper industry. He has been a newspaper owner, regional advertising director, advertising director, editor, publisher, circulation director and regional executive for various newspaper companies. He has also served on the board of directors of the Minnesota Newspaper Association, and on advertising and legislative committees of the Iowa Newspaper Association and Virginia Press Association.
For the past nine years he has been the publisher of The Free Press in Mankato, Minnesota, as well as a regional executive for CNHI, LLC helping to oversee papers in Missouri, Kansas and Iowa.
