Ken Romano has joined Stacker as vice president of distribution, where he will focus on growing publisher adoption of Stacker’s newswire through the creation of new products and partnerships. Romano spent the past eight years at The Associated Press as director of product for text and data products. During that time, he implemented new product management processes for AP and drove the launch of new products to distribute raw data and interactive graphics to member newsrooms.

In announcing Romano’s joining the team, CEO Noah Greenberg said: “Ken has not only an innate understanding of the types of content that media organizations need today, but an eye for the products that news organizations will need tomorrow as the industry continues to shift. Ken’s passion for building products that serve the customer has been apparent in working together over the years, and I could not envision a better person to take the helm of Stacker’s distribution strategy as we continue to build the most robust wire of data-driven features for news outlets across the country.”

As vice president of distribution, Romano will oversee product development and publisher partnerships, helping forge new relationships and building the tools necessary to service them.

“Stacker’s approach to heavily-researched, data-driven stories immediately caught my attention. Data will continue to play an enormous role in everyone’s day-to-day decisions. I’m excited to help as many newsrooms as possible get easy access to these stories and pass the benefits onto their readers.”

Greenberg added, “We are extremely excited to welcome Ken to the team, and for the incredible new tools he will undoubtedly deliver for Stacker’s existing and future news partners.”
