Rockford Register Star transitioning to postal delivery

Starting Feb. 26, the U.S. Postal Service will begin delivering the Rockford (Illinois) Register Star to optimize resources amidst increasing digital readership demand.  

The round-the-clock online news cycle has made digital products the first choice for breaking-news, and print subscribers are increasingly engaging digitally. As such, the Rockford Register Star will be putting renewed emphasis on the printed newspaper as a place readers can dive into local news with more impact and context, feel-good community features, sports analysis and commentary — the stories you can’t get anywhere else. 

"This change allows the Register Star's staff to best serve all of our readers, whether those readers are getting their news from our website at rrstar.com, our print newspaper or our eNewspaper," said Corina Curry, news director for the Rockford Register Star. "The delivery time of the newspaper is changing, but our commitment to covering the stories that matter most to our community remains the same.
