Garden City, NY — Richner Communications, Inc. (RCI), has appointed Brian Corcoran as its new chief financial officer.
In this role, Corcoran will lead RCI’s finance and accounting functions.
RCI is one of the largest local media groups in the Northeast and a third-generation, family-owned media company based in Garden City, New York. The company publishes 27 weekly newspapers across New York, including its flagship Long Island Herald and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Riverdale Press, to bring meaningful local news coverage to over 80 unique communities. Additionally, RCI’s sister company, Richner Printing LLC, ranks among the region’s largest commercial printers, producing periodicals and direct mail campaigns for hundreds of third-party brands each year.
Corcoran most recently served as senior finance director at Lee Enterprises, Inc., where he managed the finances of 75 local news properties for the publicly traded organization. Previously, he served as president and publisher of one of Lee's premier news brands, The Post-Star in Glens Falls, New York.
