Rossmoor News selects My News 360 from Presteligence

Presteligence, an industry leading software developer and innovator, announces Rossmoor News, a print-centric weekly for a senior community located in Walnut Creek, California, will utilize My New 360 CMS and editorial page production.

My News 360 will replace the manual processes of emailing stories back and forth for proofing and approval.  Managing editors can create assignments for specific reporters and photographers and track the status of completion via the CMS.  Likewise, community residents and clubs will have the ability to submit community events and meeting information for the Rossmoor News community calendar of events.  These requests are emailed to the appropriate people and can be easily moved to an active folder for editorial pagination.

Previously, copying and pasting or even writing content in Adobe InDesign, page builders will be able to drag and drop full story packages including body, byline, headline, photos, credits and captions into pre-configured snippets.  According to Ann Peterson, director of communications: "Some minor things will be different, but the overall organization and time savings, and ability to finally work remotely, is a tradeoff I’m willing to accept."

Once pages are built, editors can proof pages online, make annotations and tell the system to approve or reject the page.  Approved pages are automatically named according to their printer's expectation and delivered via FTP, eliminating those extra manual steps without My News 360.
