Presteligence offers pilot program for automated page building

Posted

Presteligence is offering a pilot program for automated page building — the newest module of the hosted My News 360 editorial workflow system called Dynamic Production.

What is automated page building?

Dynamic Production automates page building through an online interface, resulting in camera-ready PDFs or editable Adobe InDesign documents.

The system takes curated content and turns it into newspaper pages within minutes.  When creating pages automatically, the system displays suggested page layouts working around ads and other page elements to best fit the content on the page.  Users select which recommended layout to use.   Without Adobe InDesign experience, users can then edit, swap, move and remove content on pages as well as manage jumps from the online interface.

Publishers can choose to go the fully automated route (straight to digital distribution or print production) or expedite the page building process by fine-tuning the pages in Adobe InDesign after the automated placement whereby reducing the number of staff, time and InDesign licenses required to build pages.

Dynamic Production drastically increases the possibility for publishers to provide more content in a less restrictive and less expensive manner. It gives editorial teams more time to focus on what they do best — content creation and reporting.  It’s available to all publishers regardless of the CMS or editorial system being used.

What is the pilot program?

The Presteligence Pilot Program for Dynamic Production will accept select publishers to utilize the Dynamic Production for editorial page output in return for a commitment to the pilot program through utilization, engagement, feedback and quantitative information.
