America's Newspapers and the SNPA Foundation are inviting nominations for several Minority Fellowships to cover some of the costs associated with attending the 2022 Senior Leadership Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, Oct. 16-18.  This fellowship is designed to bolster racial diversity and increase engagement by minority employees at the conference.

This Minority Fellowship is open to executives from all newspapers (members of America's Newspapers and non-members). Nominees can be from a newspaper or from the corporate office.  Nominate a deserving candidate — or nominate yourself!

This fellowship has been developed for publishers, senior managers and emerging managers of color.  Scholarships include the conference registration (valued at $595) and the reimbursement of travel and hotel expenses relating to attendance at the Mega-Conference (up to $1,000).

Dean Ridings, CEO of America's Newspapers, expressed his gratitude to the SNPA Foundation for funding these fellowships and encouraged newspapers to nominate deserving executives of color.  "America's Newspapers and the SNPA Foundation believe that increasing diversity in newspaper leadership needs to be an industry focus," he said. "Giving these executives the opportunity to connect with their peers at a major industry conference like the Senior Leadership Conference is a great way to help them develop professional relationships as well as to exchange best practices and ideas."
