The Houston Chronicle has named Mike Morris as its new local government editor, a role in which he will lead coverage of the institutions, policies and elected officials that shape daily life across Houston and Harris County.
Morris has spent more than 15 years at the Chronicle, most recently serving as an investigative reporter. During that time, he has covered nearly every layer of local government, including Harris County and Houston City Hall, as well as some of the region's most consequential accountability stories.
