Inland Foundation elects Masterson and Waters to Foundation board

The Inland Press Foundation has elected Bill Masterson and Bradley Waters to serve on the Foundation board of directors.

Both Masterson and Waters have deep ties to the newspaper industry.

Masterson is operating vice president-Audience Division for Lee Enterprises. He supervises all production, circulation fulfillment, the Lee Design Center, Call Center and building operations for Lee. He has served as the publisher of the Black Hills Pioneer, the Rapid City Journal, the Northwest Indiana Times and the Tulsa World.

Waters is president and publisher of the Sentinel Media Co. in Rome, New York, which publishes the Rome Daily Sentinel. He is the sixth generation publisher of the family-owned media company which dates back to 1864. He has worked as a photographer, advertising executive, circulation director and now president. He has attended and moderated sessions of the Family and Independent Owners Meetings, which are sponsored by America’s Newspapers.

Inland Foundation President Joyce McCullough welcomed Masterson and Waters to the board. She said, “Both Bill and Bradley bring valuable experience to the board. Inland will benefit from their perspective as the foundation continues its support of the newspaper industry.”
