Eliza Gaines to be nominated as treasurer of America’s Newspapers

Pat Dorsey's term as chair to continue through 2026-27

Eliza Gaines, publisher of WEHCO Media, will be nominated as treasurer of America’s Newspapers next Tuesday during the annual meeting at the Senior Leadership Conference.

She will succeed Jeremy Gulban, CEO of CherryRoad Media, who will become vice chair.

As previously announced, America’s Newspapers Chair Pat Dorsey, publisher of The Santa Fe New Mexican, who was named chair earlier this year after Matt McMillan accepted a role outside the newspaper industry,  will continue in this role for 2026-27.  This will give Dorsey a full term as chair of America’s Newspapers.

Two individuals will be nominated to initial three-year terms on the board of directors:

  • Aaron Julien, chairman of the board, Newspapers of New England
  • Kurt Jackson, owner and managing member, Software Consulting Services 

Three board members will be nominated for second three-year terms:

  • Camille Olson, partner, Seyfarth Shaw LLC
  • Tim Prince, president and CEO, Carpenter Media Group
  • Zachary Richner, director, Richner Communications

All members are encouraged to attend the 5 p.m. annual meeting in Washington, D.C., and vote.
