Juliet Eilperin has been named deputy climate and environment editor for The Washington Post.

In her new role, Eilperin will oversee coverage of the struggle to manage a changing climate, with a special focus on efforts — in Washington and around the world — to transform our fossil fuel-dependent economy and rein in greenhouse gas emissions.  She also will coordinate with desks across the newsroom to cover extreme weather and other destructive manifestations of global warming.
