Founded in May 1846, AP today remains the most trusted source of fast, accurate, unbiased news in all formats and the essential provider of the technology and services vital to the news business.

The AP was formed when five New York City newspapers funded a pony express route through Alabama to bring news of the Mexican War north faster than the U.S. Post Office could deliver it.
To commemorate its 175th anniversary, AP will auction off a collection of 10 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on the news agency’s iconic photojournalism, making some of history’s most notable photographs available on the blockchain for the first time.
