Local news publishers have remained open as essential entities, to the extent they can, to provide valuable information to communities about health-related developments and reliable information that is now more important than ever.

An expansion of the SBA loan program would help keep reporters employed in newsrooms for papers that are part of groups of other small newspapers or non-news businesses.
