The El Dorado News-Times is seeking a skilled reporter who is comfortable writing for a seven-day a week daily newspaper. We publish in both a print and digital format and are active on social media. We are searching for an individual to join our award-winning team; one who can round out and enhance our already talented team of writers.
We are looking for a self-starter who doesn’t wait on assignments but who is always seeking out local news and information that is important to the various audiences we serve.
Critical to our success is finding a candidate who is looking for a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, accountability and respect for all internal and external customers. A journalism degree or equivalent experience in a community newsroom is required. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule. This is a safety-sensitive position.
