Rust Communications becomes the latest publisher to switch to NewsXtreme Cloud

Posted

Presteligence, an industry leading software developer and innovator, is proud to announce Rust Communications, located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, has committed to move its prepress production workflow to NewsXtreme Cloud.

Leaving legacy hardware behind:

As a long-time customer, Rust Communications turned to Presteligence with a need to replace outdated hardware in four printing locations. NewsXtreme Cloud was its choice.

Outdated hardware is one of the top reasons publishers are making the switch to cloud software such as NewsXtreme Cloud. As a hosted service, NewsXtreme Cloud always runs the latest version removing the need for hardware upgrades and software updates.

In addition to NewsXtreme Cloud, Rust also will receive Ink-Miser Ink Optimization and PDF Corrector.

Ink-Miser automatically replaces areas of cyan, magenta and yellow with an equivalent amount of black ink, saving up to 30% of ink consumption. PDF Corrector provides advanced preflight inspection and reporting of common problems such as embedded fonts, color space usage, minimum text size and image resolution conflicts.

A new beginning:

Over the next few months, Presteligence will be migrating workflow from on-site hardware into the NewsXtreme Cloud. The first site will be the main production plant located in Cape Girardeau, with Greencastle, Indiana; McCook, Nebraska; and Nevada, Missouri to follow. Rust Communications has long used NewsXtreme locally with remarkable success. Now the company  gets a new beginning moving into the future with NewsXtreme Cloud. Presteligence looks forward to supporting Rust Communications' success for years to come.
