Reed, CEO of the new Gannett, which was formed from the merger of Gannett and GateHouse Media, will talk about his vision for the future of the newspaper industry, as well as the synergies Gannett has gained since the merger. Reed also will discuss Gannett's plans for achieving parity with their communities — in terms of gender, racial and ethnic diversity — by 2025.

Gannett's newsrooms each recently shared data regarding the diversity of their newsrooms and announced the creation of 60 jobs to expand coverage of inequities in the country.

Gannett touches millions of lives with its Pulitzer Prize-winning content, consumer experiences and benefits, and advertiser products and services. Its portfolio includes USA TODAY, local media organizations in 46 states in the U.S. and Guam, and Newsquest, a wholly owned subsidiary with over 140 local media brands operating in the United Kingdom. Gannett also owns the digital marketing services companies ReachLocal, Inc., UpCurve, Inc. and WordStream, Inc. and runs the largest media-owned events business in the U.S., Gannett Ventures, formerly GateHouse Live.

PIVOT 2020 is a three-day virtual conference set for Oct. 6-8. Attendee registrations for members are priced at just $99; non-member rates are $199. Discounts also are available for multiple attendees from a given newspaper or from multiple papers across newspaper groups.
