Penny Riordan is an independent media consultant with expertise in audience engagement, analytics, social media best practices and product management. She worked on the corporate staff at GateHouse and Gannett for six years, working with newsrooms across the country on digital strategy. Before that, she worked at Patch.com and with newspapers in Connecticut and Maryland. She also is an active member of the Online News Association and the local organizer for the Austin chapter.
