Local newspaper subscriptions now available for check out at Tusayan Library

A new program to check out subscriptions for Williams-Grand Canyon News in Arizona is now being offered at Tusayan Town Hall through the Tusayan Library.

“This has been a long time coming and was something we looked at over many months,” said Tusayan Town Manager Charlie Hendrix. “I think we’ve really had a movement over the course of the last year to make sure we’re connecting services with the community we serve.”

According to Hendrix, the program stemmed from a need for media access within the community.

“As we researched it, we realized that most communities have an outlet for citizens to go to the library to check out or at least access their local media and we did not have that resource here,” she said.

Through discussions with Williams-Grand Canyon News and with the support of town council and the mayor, the town was able to make that access available. There are currently a total of 25, one-year subscriptions available for check out.
