McClatchy, one of the largest media companies in the United States, with over 80 million unique visitors, has announced its partnership with Legacy.com and its media technology brands to power a suite of comprehensive obituary management services for all McClatchy publications.
Managed services include obituary ecommerce intake, death verification and content screening for private party obituaries, expanded and after-hours customer support, and print-ready obituary order delivery. All services are provided by a dedicated team of more than 30 Legacy support specialists.
“Obituaries matter to families and our readers. It’s important to have a partner you can trust,” says Shannon Hayden, VP of Classified for McClatchy’s Call Center. “We said ‘yes’ to working with Legacy on this project because we know they share the same commitment to quality, accuracy and the best experience for our customers.”
Based on the successes of their partnership with McClatchy, Legacy has quickly expanded the program to several other large publishers in need of obituary category support. Interested publishers can contact email@example.com to craft a custom service package.
