Georges Media Group, Louisiana’s largest locally owned media company and publisher of The Times-Picayune | NOLA.com, The Advocate, The Acadiana Advocate, The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate, Arthur Hardy’s Mardi Gras Guide and Gambit is proud to announce the launch of Community Forward 64 — FORWARD64.COM, a platform for nonprofits and for-profits alike to share the good work they’re doing in the community. There’s a lot of bad news in the world and Community Forward 64 is our way of celebrating all the good we see across Louisiana each and every day.

As part of the Community Forward 64 launch, today we’re announcing a Baton Rouge initiative in partnership with the Capital Area United Way called Red Stick Rally: United to Give.

Through Giving Tuesday (Dec. 3) and the remainder of 2024, we’ll be spotlighting the Capital Area United Way’s partners and the incredible work they do in our region through rich storytelling across multiple platforms including print, digital, social, video and more. Our goal is to give these organizations the loudest megaphone possible to our sizable audience of engaged readers.

In Baton Rouge, there are two things that we all love: football and community. To kickoff the Red Stick Rally, we’re asking anyone in the Baton Rouge area to show that love by putting on some red eye-black and telling the world why charitable giving is important to you using the hashtag #RedStickRally. We'll share as many videos as possible on our social channels and on the Community Forward 64 website.

We believe Community Forward 64 will be a platform for charitable organizations to expand their membership, fundraising, and communications efforts for years to come because we’re all in this, together.
