Steve Henson, who has served as editor of The Pueblo (Colorado) Chieftain since June 2018, and Karen Vigil, a reporter and member of the paper's editorial board, retired Monday, Nov. 30.

Luke Lyons will step in as interim news director at The Chieftain.

"It’s been an honor to work at the newspaper covering this town and to write its history these past 42 years," Henson said. "I have been humbled to work with hundreds of outstanding journalists through the years, and have stolen bits of wisdom from each of them. And I am grateful to my many bosses who have tolerated me, and grateful for our owners."
