He joins the Star Tribune with more than three decades of media experience including nearly 30 years at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as a longtime editorial writer and metro columnist.

Jp Lawrence has joined the Star Tribune Media Company as its new Southwest Minnesota reporter. Lawrence joins the Star Tribune following a six-year stint overseas in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Germany where he served as a downrange reporter for Stars and Stripes.

The Star Tribune Media Company, the largest news organization in the Midwest, has announced that it has added Sean Baker as its new Southeast Minnesota reporter. Baker joins the Star Tribune after an eight-year run as publisher and lead reporter for Med City Beat, an independent news project he founded in Rochester at the age of 25.
