The Solutions Journalism Network has partnered with the Google News Initiative to launch the Local Newsroom Revenue Project. The program seeks to help newsrooms do high-quality solutions journalism stories and use these stories to generate revenue.
SJN will select about 10 newsrooms from across the U.S. to participate in the pilot program, which will run through March 2021. Newsrooms will receive solutions journalism training, assistance in identifying revenue opportunities and small grants totaling up to $10,000.
