Publisher Mike Weafer on Monday announced the appointment of an editor and manager to lead the editorial and advertising departments at The Madison (Indiana) Courier and WKM News.
Michelle Lira, a 10-year veteran of the Courier’s advertising department, has been named advertising department manager for the Courier and WKM News while Mark Campbell, a 35-year veteran of the Madison Courier news department, has been named editor and will work with the staff at WKM News.
Paxton Media Group, a Paducah, Kentucky-based, privately held media company with holdings that include daily and weekly newspapers and a TV station in Paducah, purchased The Madison Courier and WKM News from the Garber Family on Feb. 28.
