Daniel Holmes has been named general manager of Shelby County Newspapers, Inc., Columbiana, Alabama.
Holmes, formerly classifieds manager, is now in charge of the day-to-day operations of the company.
Holmes, who joined the company 13 years ago, has worked in almost every department at Shelby County Newspapers.
