New editor for Chicago Tribune named as part of newsroom leadership restructuring

Colin McMahon, Tribune Publishing’s chief content officer, also has been named editor-in-chief of the Chicago Tribune.

He succeeds Bruce Dold, who has served as publisher and editor-in-chief of the Chicago Tribune since February 2016.  Dold is leaving the paper April 30.

Peter Kendall, one of two managing editors at the Tribune, also has left the paper, as part of a restructuring of the newspaper's leadership. His position will not be filled. Chrissy Taylor will continue to serve as managing editor.
