The Meridian (Mississippi) Star reported this week that its publisher, Bill Atkinson, has departed the newspaper to devote more of his time to sister newspapers in Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky.
The Meridian Star will soon begin the search for his successor. The Star’s news, advertising and circulation departments will continue their normal operations.
Editor David Bohrer will serve as The Star’s contact person for the community.
