The number of cosponsors is growing for H.R. 7640; where do your representatives stand?

Posted

We are seeing more cosponsors sign on in support of H.R. 7640, the Local Journalism Sustainability Act!

Dean Ridings, CEO of America's Newspapers, said: "This increasing show of bipartisan support is a great step, but it is important for our members to continue to reach out to their legislators and ask for their support for this bill and to educate their readers."

How you can help:

Helpful resources:

Congress will be in recess for the month of August and America's Newspapers will be providing more editorials, editorial cartoons and house ads for newspapers to publish over the coming weeks — while your representatives are back in their districts.

"It is critical for us to continue to raise awareness of this important bill," Ridings said.

We are your advocate!
Advocating as the voice of newspapers on behalf of its members is a central mission of America's Newspapers.  We are committed to keeping members informed and are building a coalition around issues that impact the newspaper industry.  But, the role that individual publishers play in this effort is critical.
